“L.N.G.Unite” September #SocialScreening

Indy Art | Media Co-opEvents, Social Screenings

You’re invited to join us Tuesday, September 8th for our next free #SocialScreening!

For this event, we’ll be participating in the #DirectedByWomen worldwide film viewing party. This evenlngu_04t seeks to bring attention to the wide array of wonderful women directors, who are often overlooked for “bigger” male names in the industry. The party takes place from September 1st through September 15th, so be sure to look for other screenings or create your own!

In deference to the goals of our host for the monthly #SocialScreenings, the Indianapolis Worker Justice Center, we have chosen a film that focuses on both women’s and labor fairness issues. Live Nude Girls Unite!* is the compelling story of dancers in a San Francisco club. The film documents their journey of unionizing to fight unsafe work environment, racial discrimination, and privacy violations inflicted by their employer, as well as the reactions of their family and the public.

We hope you’ll join us for this event and friendly discussion!

Date: September 8, 2015 | Time: Doors at 6:30pm, Film at 7pm | Where: IWJC, 1734 W. Washington St.

*Some scenes may not be suitable for younger audiences. Snacks provided. Free event.
