Refresh Mind & Spirit with Social, Summer Gatherings

  1. April 23-25 ~ Morrel Festival ~ Brown County, IN: 3rd Annual Morel & Music Fest; cooking demos and workshops with Mycology experts.
  2. May 9 ~ UPRSNG ~ Indianapolis, IN: “Where creativity breeds”. Local one-day fest of music, art, and vendors.
  3. May 15-18 ~ Occustock! Feed the People ~ Evansville, IN: Socially-conscious art & music festival that is benefitting the Tri-State Food Bank. Food Not Bombs – Indianapolis is catering.
  4. May 20-24 ~ OH Regional Burning Man ~ Reclaim, Rutland, OH: A collaborative, DIY art and music fest that adheres to the 10 principles of burning man; expect the unexpected, there is no schedule, but your days will be full of celebrating, dreaming, and connecting with regional artists and makers from the tri-state region.

  5. May 22-25 ~ Heartwood Forest Council 25th Anniversary ~ The Lazy Black Bear, Southern IL: Dynamic workshops, live music, and great company at this environmental action camp.
  6. June 18-21 ~ Allied Media Conference ~ Detroit, MI: A national meet-up for diverse groups of people using media to make change. “This is my place”, – NOLA Art Community Liaison
  7. June 24-25 ~ MCON ~ Chicago, IL: The power of influence; a conference on art, business, media and place.
  8. June 30 – July 6 ~ Mountain Justice Summer Convergence ~ Eolia, KY: Activist workshops, deep ecology education, followed by an action camp in the 2nd half of the week centered around protecting the Kanawha Forest from invasive mining.
  9. *BONUS*(and not quite summer) October 17 ~ Neighbor Power! ~ Indianapolis, IN: A gathering to inspire greater Indy neighborhoods, bringing together several hundred residents to network and connect social entrepreneurs and associations for empowerment.
